Today you are to create TWO ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES of the three techniques we learned in class.  


Save them as JPEGS and add them to your Color Effects PowerPoint.

Section 1-Draining Color (total will now be 4 original pictures and 4 changed pictures = 8)

Section 3- 3-Fading Color to Black and White (total will now be 4 original pictures and 4 changed pictures= 8)


Section 4-Changing Color (total will now be 4 original pictures and 4 changed pictures = 8)


You are to complete any unfinished assignments.


You are to review for your exam.  Complete one example of the following techniques in Adobe Photoshop and insert the examples in a word document:
Smart Filters
Feathering
Paste Into
Lighting Effects


Save your word document in your G: drive and name it:

Open up Adobe Photoshop.
In the MiniBridge, go to the M: Drive--Multimedia Library--folder 07-Color Lessons
Open up the picture of the cows

Today we will review feathering and clipping masks.
We will also review using the Image-Trim command

Paste Into-Open up the picture of the TV


How to work with color in Adobe Photoshop

Today we are going to learn how to use different techniques to drain color from a color photo and to add color to a grayscale photo.

We will use the following techniques:

Adjustment Layers to remove color
 
Hue and Saturation
Black and White

Adjustment Layers to change colors
  
Channel Mixer

Adjustment Layers to remove colors and then bring some back
    
Hue and Saturation
Black and White

Blending Option to color an area
 
New Layer-->Blending option Color-->paint brush tool

We will use files I have saved for you. We will load them to our mini bridge and then let the fun begin!
