Section 6- Feathering
Requirements for your PowerPoint slides:
2 original pictures with at least 30 px of feathering.

Step 1:  Unlock your picture/background layer
Step 2:  Select part of your picture
Step 3:  Right-click with your mouse inside your selection and choose an amount to feather by.
Step 4:  Go to the Image Menu and choose Trim (See Below)
Step 5:  Save for Web as a PNG-24


Sometimes when you feather a picture you are left with extra blank space.  Before you save your
feathered picture as a PNG file, trim the excess by following the directions below.






This will be our final section in The Variety Project.
If you are caught up, please make sure to go back and "clean up" your PowerPoint slides.
 
PowerPoint slides should include:
  • Consistent formatting
    • "before and after" slides should be the same size and have the same style, if any applied
  • Professional appearance
  • Clearly labeled sections
  • Clearly labeled effects
  • No Transitions
